A note from Creative Director Eliza O'Sullivan
For our most recent launch, the design started with a feeling rather than a finished idea.
I knew I wanted to explore seersucker again, but in a way that felt a little more unexpected. We’ve worked with stripes and checks before, but plaid felt like new territory - something that could hold more movement, more colour, and a slightly more layered story.
At the same time, I was really drawn to an English cottage sensibility; that mix of pattern-on-pattern, where nothing quite matches but everything still feels harmonious. There’s a boldness to it, but also a softness. It’s inviting, a little nostalgic, and never too much.
The design itself began very simply. One evening, I was drawing with my daughter Peach - one of those rare, slow, quiet moments - and was just enjoying playing around with colours, patterns and shapes with no real purpose. Instead of working in my usual black ink, I picked up coloured textas and found myself absentmindedly doodling checks. It felt loose and playful, but it felt like the start of something for Mosey, so I held onto those doodles.

From there, I translated the drawing into a digital print and started experimenting with colour. I explored both warmer palettes and cooler tones, but kept coming back to blue. There was something about it that grounded the design - it balanced the playfulness of the pattern and gave it a calm, liveable quality.

The final result feels like a meeting point between whimsy and ease. It’s easy to style, but never flat or predictable. We decided to not only do the print in bedding, but also across loungewear and accessories. My favourite piece from the collection is the quilted robe; the added texture with the quilting makes it feel extremely luxurious to wear.

Confetti Plaid is really about embracing colour and pattern in a way that feels relaxed: a little nostalgic, a little playful, and designed to be lived with every day. Discover the collection here.
