Behind the Print: Floral Dreams

Floral Dreams is one of those prints that has stayed with us over the years.

The original Floral Dreams bedding was released back in 2018 and came in two colourways, Ink & Musk and Lilac & Mustard. It was a really special moment in the early days of Mosey, and since then it has become one of our most requested prints. In particular, the Lilac and Mustard version has been asked about again and again since it sold out.

Where It All Began

The drawings for Floral Dreams were created freehand in my studio in early 2018. I remember starting without much of a plan, just drawing random flowers in a loose way using a fine brush and black paint. I filled in different petals and leaves as I went and didn’t think too hard about the end result.

Some of those shapes really stood out to me and I found myself wanting to explore them further. That’s when I decided to try translating them into a more stencil-like style of drawing. This kind of approach feels very familiar to me and definitely sits in a creative comfort zone. I loved how bold and graphic the flowers became, and from there I pulled the final design together in Photoshop.

Bringing Floral Dreams Back

When we decided to re-release Floral Dreams in January 2026, it felt important to nod back to the original Lilac and Mustard colourway. That version has been the most requested by our community over the years, so we wanted to honour that feeling while still giving the print a fresh update.

This time around, we also had the opportunity to extend Floral Dreams beyond bedding and into the bathroom. That opened the door to having even more fun with colour and really leaning into brighter, bolder combinations. The terry collection was released in October in lilac and butter yellow, and the bathmat followed in a playful mix of kermit green and peach. Being able to explore these sunnier tones across new product categories has been really exciting for us.

The response to the bathroom range has been incredibly positive, and it’s felt so nice to see Floral Dreams take on this fresh, summery energy and find its way into even more everyday moments.

A Print That’s Here to Lift the Mood

Floral Dreams has always been a print that’s meant to make you smile. It feels playful and lighthearted and doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s designed to bring a sense of fun into your space and to add a little joy to everyday moments.
