Behind the Print: Butter Blue

Some designs just feel like natural evolutions. Butter Blue was born out of our best-selling seersucker stripe - a fabric and style that has become a cornerstone of the Mosey collection. This time, the idea was to refresh the design with a calming, effortless new colourway.

A Fresh Palette

The idea began with the feeling that the range needed a light blue - something soothing, versatile, and timeless. This gentle tone kept appearing on my mood boards and inspiration images, quietly insisting that it belonged here.

To balance the serenity and ease of light blue, I paired it with a butter yellow. It’s been a colour I’ve wanted to weave into the collection for some time, but finding the right way to introduce it mattered. Printing such a delicate shade can be tricky to keep consistent, so I knew that a woven design, with its natural texture and depth, would be the perfect vehicle to bring the subtle warmth of butter yellow to life.

This colour duo feels crisp, uplifting, and full of clarity. It has a simplicity that feels very much at home within the Mosey world, while still offering something new for the season.

A Stripe to Live With

Butter Blue Seersucker is a continuation of what makes our seersucker stripes so beloved: texture, playfulness, and ease. At the same time, this new colourway feels fresh and distinct - a soft, airy palette that works beautifully across seasons and settings: kitchen and dining, bedding and accessories. A special mention goes to our short robe, which feels especially fresh for the summer season - the perfect gift, or simply a treat for yourself.
