Behind the Print: Lilac Sprout

Some designs stay with you. Our original woven stripe, first launched in September 2023, was one of those. With its playful mix of a wide stripe in pink and yellow on the front, and a narrow stripe in pink and orange on the reverse, it quickly became a customer favourite. We first released it across bedding, a round cushion, a quilted throw and a dopp kit - and it sold out so quickly that we brought it back in 2024. When it sold out again, we knew this design had more to give. We just had to wait for the right moment.

What made the original stripe so special was its versatility. The combination of the wide and narrow stripes meant it could create multiple moods and looks, while never feeling too overwhelming. It was playful, yet balanced, and felt very Mosey.

Enter Lilac Sprout

This season, we’ve reimagined the stripe in a fresh new palette: lilac and sprout green. For me, pink and green has always been a favourite combination - it shows up often in my wardrobe, and just feels natural to design with. After almost 10 years of creating for the Mosey customer, I knew she would understand this pairing too. The choice of sprout green felt especially right for spring: fresh, uplifting, and full of energy.

We’ve also introduced Lilac Sprout across more product categories this time around. Alongside bedding, you’ll now find the stripe in a short robe, a quilted bag, and a selection of kitchen items that play with both stripe scales together. The contrast between wide and narrow stripes adds a playful detail that feels at home in every corner of the house.

Lilac Sprout is a continuation of a design story our customers have loved from the beginning - refreshed, renewed, and ready for a new season. We hope it brings a sense of fun, colour, and freshness into your everyday spaces.
